Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026. This policy explains how rank7.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar tools include localStorage keys written by our scripts. They help the site remember choices and understand aggregate traffic. They are not used on Rank7 to place bets or open casino wallets.

2. Why we use them

We use storage to: keep the age gate from reappearing every refresh after confirmation; remember whether you accepted or declined optional cookies; maintain basic security and load balancing on hosting; and, if accepted, measure page performance in aggregated form.

3. Essential storage

Essential items include the Rank7_age and Rank7_cookies keys in local storage and any session cookies required to deliver pages securely. These are necessary for a compliant adult-facing experience. The site may not function as intended if you block all storage.

4. Optional analytics

If you press Accept on the banner, we may enable lightweight analytics that count visits, popular sections and approximate device classes. Decline keeps optional analytics off. Essential age and preference storage can still operate so the banner and gate behave correctly.

5. How the banner works

After you confirm you are 18+, the cookie banner can appear. Accept or Decline writes Rank7_cookies. The anti-flicker script hides the banner on later visits when that key exists. You can clear site data in your browser to reset the choice.

6. Third parties

Fonts may load from Google Fonts, which can receive technical connection data. Affiliate destinations set their own cookies when you leave Rank7. We do not control those cookies. Check each operator’s notice before creating an account.

7. Retention

Local storage preferences remain until cleared. Analytics cookies, when used, typically expire on vendor schedules ranging from session length to several months. Server logs follow our privacy retention approach.

8. Managing preferences

Use the on-site banner choices, then browser controls to delete cookies or block third-party storage. Private browsing modes may wipe keys when the window closes, which can re-trigger the age gate.

10. Cookie table (plain language)

Rank7_age — essential local storage — remembers adult confirmation — duration until cleared. Rank7_cookies — essential preference storage — remembers accept or decline — duration until cleared. Hosting session cookies — essential — keep HTTPS sessions stable — usually session length. Optional analytics identifiers — only after Accept — help us see which sections are read — vendor-defined expiry.

11. Do Not Track and global controls

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are interpreted inconsistently across the web. Our banner choice is the primary control for optional analytics on Rank7. If you use global privacy controls offered by your browser, treat a clear opt-out as a decline for optional cookies where we can technically honour it.

12. Contact and complaints

For cookie questions write to privacy@rank7.co.uk. If you believe storage is used outside this policy, tell us promptly so we can investigate. You may also raise concerns with the ICO after contacting us. Clearing site data is always available as a self-serve reset for local keys on your device.
